Engage psychiatric nurses periodically in training periods or workshops to enhance their self-efficacy and resilience to confront difficult psychiatric situations which help them acquire skills and positive facets of mental health 2. Periodically assess the level of stress among psychiatric nurses and determine its sources regularly for early detection and providing them with coping strategies to deal with their daily life and work stressors. 3. Managers could run an orientation program for newly hired nurses to help them accommodate the differences between ideal and real nursing 4. Establish a psych educational program for psychiatric nurses to teach them how to deal emotionally with their work stressors as well as educational programs to improve their communication skills. In further research: 1. Replication of the study using a larger sample in different correctional settings for further confirmation and generalizability of the results.
