Abstract This thesis aims to improve the dynamic performance of the surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) under applying the finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) considering the effect of parameters mismatch. The performance of the SPMSM under conventional model predictive current control (C-MPCC) and model predictive direct speed control (MPDSC) is analysed as well. To improve the performance of the SPMSM, two techniques are proposed which are Modulated MPCC (M-MPCC) with six active voltage vectors and M-MPCC with six active and six virtual voltage vectors. M MPCC with two different approaches has better dynamic performance than C-MPCC. |
