المستخلص

This research aims to develop nutritional awareness for children in private nurseries by verifying the effectiveness of a program based on some performance arts. The semi-experimental approach with two equal groups design was used as a research method. (5-6) years old, they were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other control, each of them consisted of (25) boys and girls. and the research tools consisted of the man’s drawing test to measure the percentage of intelligence (authored by: Judd Nose Harris; Codification of Fatima Hanafi 1983), the parameters’ questionnaire form Private nurseries (Prepared by: the researcher), a program based on some performance arts to develop nutritional awareness for the children of private nurseries (prepared by: the researcher), and the illustrated nutritional awareness scale (prepared by: the researcher). The research reached many results; The most important of which are: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the food awareness variable as well as its four sub-axes: (healthy and unhealthy food - elements of the integrated diet – nutritional behaviors - food problems) in favor of the experimental group at the level of significance (0.05). ; This indicates the effectiveness of the current research program based on some performance arts in developing healthy food awareness for the children of the experimental group compared to their peers of the children of the control group who were not exposed to the activities of the program.
