Abstract
Musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS) is an excellent tool for evaluation of the patients with ankle pain. It offers a clear advantage of easy availability, rapid, dynamic, lack of radiation, lower cost, and guidance during intervention.
It has the ability to evaluate different pathologies of the ankle with high accuracy, including tendon pathologies, ligaments sprain ganglion cyst, plantar fasciitis, and benign tumors of soft tissue, arthritis, collections, vascular abnormalities, and foreign bodies.
