Abstract There are many factors affecting CI outcome, one of them is the presence of a healthy and sufficiently large population of SGN that is able to transduce the encoded auditory information via the afferent auditory system to the auditory cortex [82]. The current study was designed to study EABR measurements (thresholds, latencies, amplitudes and slopes) in response to changes of IPG and how can we predict neural health, speech recognition in quiet and noise in children CI users, finding the relationship between EABR measures and behavioral measures. This study included 26 children, aged < 18 years with unilateral Cochlear CI with full inserted electrode who underwent regular speech therapy and had satisfactory aided response. |
