Abstract
This is a pilot prospective phase II study conducted at Kasr El-Ainy Center of Clinical Oncology and Nuclear Medicine (NEMROCK) in corporation with the department of radiodiagnosis at Kasr Al-Ainy during the period between March 2014 and January 2015. A total of 20 patients were included in the study. Patients of stage II and III candidate for Radical 3D conformal radiotherapy, all underwent planning CT scans and MRI Diffusion in the same set-up position. Matched ADC maps were applied. After image reconstruction, an elliptical region of interest (ROI) was drawn on the solid area of the lung carcinoma, POC and background which was detected visually on the ADC map with reference to areas of bright signal on DW images or the T2-weighted image or the CT scan
