Abstract
Different methods for the determination of some drugs used in the treatment of hypertension, in pure and dosage form, have been introduced in this thesis. These drugs are Aliskiren, Hydrochlorothiazide, Perindopril and Indapamide. Spectroscopic part includes Spectrophotometric methods for the determination of Aliskiren and Hydrochlorothiazide in binary mixture, using first derivative spectrophotometry, first derivative of ratio spectrophotometry, Dual wavelength spectrophotometry, simultaneous equation spectrophotometry and ratio subtraction spectrophotometry. In addition to a spectroflourimetric method for the determination of Indapamide. chromatographic part includes the determination of (Aliskiren, Hydrochlorothiazide) and (Perindopril, Indapamide) antihypertensive mixtures using high performance liquid chromatography. Statistical comparison between the results obtained by the proposed methods and the reference or reported methods was carried out
