Abstract
Privatization has been advocated as a central part of the Egyptian economic reform program targeted to encourage a more effective participation of the private sector in most economic fields especially in the banking sector. This study addresses the Egyptian banking Reform through the progress of the privatization program and deciding which type of bank combination should take place either merger, acquisition, or consolidation in the privatization process . Also discusses the structure of Egyptian banking system, and issues such as the benefits of bank privatization, advantages & disadvantages of the privatization process and privatizations constraints, beside that addressing the accounting issues related to the privatization process
