Materials and methods: 110 lower primary molars in 55 children were divided in 2 groups ,group A: 55 primary molars were treated using formocresol and group B: 55 primary molars were treated by pulpotomy technique using 5% NaOCl,treated children were recalled at 3 and 6 months postoperatively to be assessed Clinically and radiographically. Results: The results of the present study showed that Sodium hypochlorite is successful pulp medicament but still formocresol showing better results. Conclusions: Sodium hypochlorite is considered as successful as formocresol as pulp medicament in the pulpotomy of primary teeth both clinically and radiographically. Recommendations: More researches to record the effect of formocresol and sodium hypochlorite on permanent successors should be done |
