Abstract Supraventricular tachycardia is the most common symptomatic pediatric tachyarrhythmia. It affects children of all ages. The most common type of supraventricular tachycardia in children is atrioventricular reentry tachycardia. This is a cross sectional descriptive study including fifty patients in the pediatric arrhythmology clinic. Demographic & clinical data were collected as well as results of ECG, 24 hour Holter recording and echocardiography. Atrioventricular re -entry tachycardia was the most common type of SVT in children. The most common presentation was tachycardia in infancy and palpitation in older children. Nineteen patients (38%) had associated congenital heart diseases. The type of abnormality bore no relation to the type of SVT |
