Abstract This thesis investigates the impact of spatially variable ground motions on the seismic response of concrete continuous bridges. The study comprises the effect of the arrival time of seismic waves to each support in addition to the spatial variation at the different supports. Two sets of seismic records are utilized; the first utilizes actual records for studying the wave passage effects while the second set utilizes artificially simulated records in studying the effect of the spatial variability in the ground motions |
