Abstract Surgical site infections after cesarean delivery are among the most preventable hospital acquired infections, however, it is a cause of morbidity and mortality among women undergoing cesarean section with reported rates of 3– 15% globally (Allegranzi et al., 2016; Saeed et al., 2019) .
