Abstract
Decisions of treatment of calcaneal fractures will depend on various factors besides the type of fracture. The patient’s age, intercurrent diseases, and whether there are associated injuries or multiple traumas are important aspects to be taken into account, for they will have a major influence on the outcome The aim of surgical management of calcaneal fractures is reduction of articular surface, restoration of the height and the width of the calcaneus and reshaping of the calcaneal tuberosity
