Abstract Microalgae are the most important plankton for nutrition of marine larval organisms. They supply the marine organisms with the basic food as rbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, and fatty acids especially the polyunsaturated fatty acids. The present work was focused on the optimization of the nutritional value of two microalgal species (Chlorococcum minutum and Scenedesmus obliquus) which used in aquaculture for enrichment the Artemia franciscana metanuplii, and evaluation of the nutritional value in the form of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamin C, carotenoids, phenolics, flavonoids and fatty acids especially the polyunsaturated fatty acid were conducted. The following is the summery of the obtained results showed that: • Two different freshwater growth media, namely KC and Kuhl’s medium were used for cultivation of two green micro algae chlorococcum minutum and Scenedesmus obliquus to identify the most suitable medium for growth and carotenoids content. The results showed that the tested parameters reached their maximum value at the 10th day of culturing. • As obtained from the previous results Kuhl’s medium was more suitable growth medium for growth and carotenoids content for the green microalgae C.minutum and S. obliquus than KC medium. • we study the effect of different concentration of some essential nutrients components (KNO3, PO4, MgSO4 and CaCl2) of Kuhl’s medium on growth and some primary and secondary metabolites of the microalgae under study Chlorococcum minutum and Scenedesmus obliquus. |
