المستخلص The current research aimed at examining the effectiveness of sensory motor activities in developing visual motor coordination in children with high functioning autism. The research sample consisted of ten children with high functioning autism, between (4 – 6) years old. The tools consisted of The Gilliam autism disorder,symptoms, and intensity diagnosis (third edition), Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale Fifth Edition, Visual Motor Coordination Scale for Children with Autism (prepared by the researcher), A Program based on Sensory Motor Activities for Visual Motor Coordination Development in Children with High Functioning Autism (prepared by the researcher). In addition, quasi-experimental research design and suitable statistical methods were utilized to gather, analyze degrees from the scales, and to verify research hypotheses. It was found the effectiveness of the sensory motor activities-based program in developing visual motor coordination in the experimental group of children with high functioning autism. |
