Abstract Conclusion These review aimed to review SM with AB prevalence, some related factors associated with these practice and differences in antibiotic SM practices it was found that: 1- It is confirmed that SM with AB is found allover the world with little differences in prevalence and generally about 48% over 1 month to 100% lifetime use. 2- main reasons for self-medication medication among university students were their previous experiences, their health problems was considered as too trivial and time savings. Other reasons for self-medication practice were advice family or friends, availability of transport, ability to self-manage the symptom, convenience, doctor was not available, urgency of the problem, and have sufficient information 3- Pharmacist take part in dispensing AB without prescription and give AB upon symptoms |
