Abstract The agricultural wastes have remarkable hazardous effects on the local environment in Egypt; especially after the harvest of summer crops. Therefore, the efforts to the safe disposable from those wastes are in continuous progress. In this study, ten lignocellulosic agricultural wastes were collected as different sources for isolation of the cellulase degrading bacteria and actinomycetes. Nutrient agar, starch – nitrate agar and GYM agar were used as isolation media. A total of 41 encoded colonies from 46 different selected colonies representing different bacterial and actinomycete colonies were isolated; 20 encoded bacterial isolates and 21 encoded actinomycete isolates. |
