Abstract
Saqqara, Serapeum tomb is a valuable archaeological unit that has been subjected to serious structural damages and deterioration. Before proposing any restoration approach for retaining its structural stability, all factors that led to structural instability have been surveyed, analyzed and evaluated. The results of such study and their analysis, establish engineering and geo-engineering data base that is required to determine and design the most suitable structural restoration approaches . 3D programming of stress analysis of underground structures has been used in present study and obtained results showed acceptable agreement when have been compared to actual field instabilities . Finally, these 3D analysis data base will contribute to visualize and clarify stress analysis around main gallery sections of Serapeum with 2D stress analysis program ”Examine 2D” , and meanwhile confirm the results with 3D stress analysis program ”Map3D”
