Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common malignancy worldwide. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a major cause of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) worldwide. DNA methylation might play an important role in HCV-related HCC by silencing cancer-related pathway inhibitors. Our aim was to study relationship between promoter methylation of CYP24A1 gene and progression of HCC. We found that there was no statistical significance difference between HCC patients and non HCC patients groups regarding hypermethylation of CYP24A1 group |
