This thesis is concerned with the analysis of some drugs used in ophthalmic p harmaceutical formulations. It is divided into four parts: Part I: General Introduction and Objectives: This part presents introduction and classification of eye drops and their applications. Additionally, the aim of study is discussed in this part. The binary mixtures selected for study and explained in the following parts respectively are: Timolol Maleate (TIM) and Dorzolamide Hydrochloride (DOR). Chloramphenicol (CPL) and Prednisolone Acetate (PA). Chloramphenicol (CPL) and Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate (DSP). Part II: Simultaneous Determination of a Binary M ixture of TIM and DOR in their O phthalmic Pharmaceutical F ormulation This part is divided into four sections: Section (A): Introduction and literature review of TIM and DOR. Section (B): Spectrophotometric determination of TIM and DOR. Section (C): Determination of TIM and DOR by c hromatographic methods. Section (D): Statistical comparison and final conclusion.
