Abstract

Arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and high tibial osteotomy in a single stage is well documented in the literature
Patients and method:
A case series studywas conducted on 15 patients who had ACL tear and varus knee. ACL reconstruction using ipsilateral hamstring autograftand fixation of graft by an adjustable loop on femoral side and U loop on the tibial side with high tibial osteotomy which was fixed by puddo plate.
Results:
After 18 months follow up, there was statistically significant difference between the preoperative and postoperative assessment of the patients regarding Lysholm score, IKDC andposterior tibial slope was evaluated by plain X ray.
.
Conclusion:
Combined ACL reconstruction and high tibial osteotomy in ACL deficient varus knees is promising in management of acl injury in genu varum knee. This procedure is proved to be successful and safe on short and midterm follow up.
