Abstract

Inspite of evolution of endoscopes and the limitations of cystoscopy indications in males, iatrogenic strictures are still seen nowadays, however they are far less common than they were in the past (Rourke et al, 2014).
Testosterone is known to have a key role in urethral development and its diagnostic and prognostic values are investigated in various urological and non-urological conditions (Jeffrey S et al, 2018).
Low testosterone levels in patients with urethral stricture may contribute to decreased periurethral vascularity which can induce urethral atrophy (Hofer et al, 2017).
So this study aims to evaluate the relationship between testosterone level in patients with urethral stricture and its effect on outcome of surgery.
