المستخلص This study aimed to build a proposed model for developing the e-learning environment for the students of Abu Dhabi the Police College in the light of learning analytics. To build this model, the researcher relied on two main axes: The first is to analyze the current reality of the e-learning environment at the Police College, by analyzing the reports of the existing LMS, and analyzing the surveys of students and faculty members about the existing LMS and its shortcomings. The second is the proposed model of the learning environment enhanced by learning analytics, depending on the outcomes of the first axis, then designing and building a list of standards for the e-learning environment, taking into account the nature of the academic and training program for the students of the Police College, where most of the courses adopt the method of practical study, through Teaching strategies that make the student always the focus of the educational process, as well as analyzing the elements of the proposed environment in the model through the reference framework of learning analytics. To achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach, which depends on describing the information that was collected in a quantitative and measurable manner, through a set of procedures that varied between theoretical and practical, where the reports of the current learning management system were analyzed to determine the extent to which students are involved in The learning environment, and the patterns of this engagement, as well as a peer-reviewed survey of students and faculty members, was designed to identify the shortcomings of the existing e-learning environment. The study resulted in several findings that helped realize the proposed model for the new e-learning environment in the light of learning analytics, which includes elements that enhance students’ learning, monitor their progress, and provide suggestions to improve their learning based on analytics of their previous learning styles. |
