Abstract The world suffering from the shortage of energy and water sources, so new renewable energy sources are in demand. The world needs Today to energy and water, so a new strategy should be applied in the coming decades based on the integration of renewable energy sources with solar desalination in presence of thermal energy storage technology in order to meet our requirements, so in this work we will optimization properties of storage system. This study includes the following steps: 1- Literature survey on the thermal energy storage system, concentrated solar power (CSP) and nanomaterials under investigation. 2- Fabricate preparation of composite as thermal energy storage material (Molten salt). 3- Determine eutectic point composition of molten salt. 4- Characterize the thermo-physical properties of the new composite material by studying as much as possible: 4.1- Heat capacity, Energy density, Melting point, Viscosity, Latent heat and density. 4.2- Thermal stability. 4.3- Thermal cycling. 4.4- Thermal conductivity. 4.5- Heat transfer coefficient, thermal diffusivity and thermal expansion coefficient. 4.6- Morphology and investigation. 5- Synthesis of novel nanocomposite materials as thermal energy storage materials. 6- Characterize the new synthesized nanocomposites thermal energy storage as step 4. |
