Abstract Cutaneous open wounds were considered the most critical and widespread problem due to the high rate of accidents or burn worldwide. Full-thickness skin loss may find difficult to treat, because of exposure to the infection, which delays the healing process and causes distortion or incomplete healing. Large full-thickness cutaneous wounds suffer from inappropriate healing and scar formation due to the increased stimulation of inflammatory cells that prolong the inflammatory stage. The current study aimed to investigate the role of human umbilical cord blood mesenchymal stem cells (hUCB-MSCs) with chitosan scaffold (ChSc) on the progress of the cutaneous wound healing process in male Albino rats. |
