Abstract As a result of the lack in the quality of life level in the Egyptian community, also, the world movement that considers heritage sites as a support for the quality of life level, became the importance of this study that aims to develop a quality of urban life (QOUL) indicators model for heritage sites. This research supposes that the level of QOUL is affected by factors related to the built environment and socio-cultural life. This model has been applied on the heritage center of heliopolis (Baghdad st., Elahram st., and Botros Ghaly st.) using data collecting tools (users questionnaire and observation check-list). Results showed conflicts between the real and perceived QOL, also, some specific factors seems to be more affecting the level of QOL, visual character, parking areas, signs and information. Specific recommendations is recommended for further related researches |
