Abstract
Throughout history, architecture was considered the mirror of civilization. Architecture reflected the religious beliefs and cultural traditions of the layman. To achieve this equation, architects began to use symbolism in their design, translating the beliefs and tradition, which are non-tangible spiritual things, to tangible physical elements of design. The study explores the relationship between the Muslims community and the architecture of the mosques they build, emphasizing the symbolic nature of numbers in the design of mosques
