Abstract

Cervical radiculopathy is a common entity. Several non-operative interventions, with varying success rates, have been described for treatment of cervical radiculopathy. But the available evidences of comparing the effectiveness of one manual therapy over the other are very few. So, the purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of cervical sustained natural apophyseal glides versus thoracic spine manipulation in the treatment of unilateral cervical radiculopathy. Forty five females with chronic unilateral cervical radiculopathy of age group range between 30 to 40 years were enrolled in this study. Patients were divided into three Groups (A, B and C) with randomized sampling method, each group contain 15 patients. group A (study group) was treated with selective physical therapy program (interferential therapy-ultrasound-ice pack) and cervical sustained natural apophyseal glides; group B (study group) was treated with the selected physical therapy program as group A and thoracic spine manipulation; group C (control group) was treated with the selected physical therapy program only
