The development of technology and the tremendous progress in it resulted in the emergence of new means of communication that led to changing the features of social communication among the pioneers of social networks, so there were networks concerned with communication with the aim of exchanging information about books, and exchanging the books themselves. Therefore, this was the reason for the establishment of many social networks in general, and the emergence of social networks for books in particular. In this study, the researcher sought to identify the extent to which faculty members at Benha University use social book networks and the extent of their attitudes towards them, to try to identify the extent of the impact of these networks on the cognitive movement, and to know the importance of these networks in preparing a social index for the books of faculty members that they own and want to organize and index, and to establish a virtual library. and social at the same time, without resorting to the use of complex programs that require expensive and trained specialists to use them. These social networks have succeeded in attracting a large number of their users. Therefore, these networks present a positive aspect in promoting general culture and encouraging reading in general.
