Abstract

Tinnitus is an embarrassing symptom that often prompts the affected individual to visit a clinic urgently. It is a heterogeneous disorder in terms of its etiology and clinical features. The use of intra-tympanic Dexamethasone injection to reduce the severity of tinnitus has been widely used. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of intra-tympanic Dexamethasone injection (ITD) In Tinnitus Patients with low or High Frequency Sensory-neural Hearing Loss. The study included thirty patients suffering from tinnitus with Low or High Frequency SNHL.Those patients were treated with intra-tympanic Dexamethasone injection (ITD). Control of tinnitus using questionnaire (THI) before and after the treatment and hearing parameters (pure tone audiogram, speech discrimination and tympanometry) were evaluated two weeks and one month after treatment
