Abstract Injury is the leading cause of death among children older than 1 year. In fact, for children, injury exceeds all other causes of death combined. Trauma scoring has played a central part in the development of quality assurance for the seriously injured. This study aim -To examine the capacity of commonly used trauma scoring systems such as the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), Injury Severity Score (ISS), and Revised Trauma Score (RTS) to predict outcomes in young children with traumatic injuries. This will be cross sectional study that will be conducted in the emergency department at Suez Canal university hospitals. the expected outcome was to know which scale is a better predictor of mortality and length of hospitalization. Aim To improve outcomes and prognosis of children with injury attending emergency department at Suez Canal University hospitals. |
