Abstract Maintaining soil fertility is one of the main factors affecting the sustainability of food production. Nowadays, using natural soil conditioners to improve the physical, chemical and fertility properties of soils has become important for sustainable productivity and soil management. The use of organic matter in crop production is receiving renewed attention worldwide. Organic materials such as olive-mill wastewater, crop residues, farmyard manure, household waste, etc., are abundant and reach massive amounts every day. Olive-mill wastewater (OMWW) contain many nutrients that can improve agricultural production. Therefore, a field experiment was conducted during the 2016-2017 winter season in the village of Jilbana - south of Qantara Shark, North Sinai-Egypt. The studied area is located at 30º 52ˋ16.8ˋˋ north latitude, 32º19ˋ 55.2ˋˋeast longitude and elevation 6 meters above sea level. |
