Abstract

Response of ‘Flame seedless’ grape cultivar to the foliar application of
seaweed extract and folic and fulvic acids
This study was performed during 2019 and 2003 seasons on seven years
old ”Flame seedless” grape vines (Vitis vinefera L.). The vines were
cultivated at 3 meters apart between rows and 2 meters between trees in
the same row in a sandy loam soil under drip irrigation system in a private
orchard located at EL-Nubaria, EL-Beheira Governorate, Egypt. They
were sprayed three times, before flowering, during the full bloom and
three weeks later with the following treatments:
1. Control spray with water only
2. Fulvic acid at 1000 ppm
3. Fulvic acid at 1500 ppm
4. Fulvic acid at 2000ppm
5. Folic acid (vitamin B9) at 100 ppm
6. Folic acid (vitamin B9) at 150 ppm
7. Folic acid (vitamin B9) at 200 ppm
8. Seaweed at 2000 ppm
9. Seaweed at 3000 ppm
10. Seaweed at 4000 ppm
11. Combination 1: 0333 ppm Fulvic acid + 100 ppm Folic acid (vitamin
B9) + 2000 ppm Seaweed
12. Combination 2: 1500 ppm Fulvic acid + 150 ppm Folic acid (vitamin
B9) + 3000 ppm Seaweed
13. Combination 3: 2000 ppm Fulvic acid + 200 ppm Folic acid (vitamin
B9) + 4000 ppm Seaweed
The previous applied treatments were arranged in a randomized complete
block design with eight replicates for each treatment and one vine for each
replicate
The results of this experiment could be summarized as follows
Spraying Fulvic acid at 1000, 1500 and 2000, Folic acid at 100, 150 and
200 ppm and Seaweed at 2000, 3000 and 4000 increased in general the
vegetative growth attributes, yield, fruit chemical and physical
characteristics and leaf mineral composition from N, P and K of ”Flame
seedless” grape cultivar as compared to control in the two seasons.
