Abstract

Chapter One is an indicatory part deals with biochar origin and its application in different fields, the various methods of biochar preparation and surface modification as biochar is economic ecofriendly adsorbent which have wide spread usage in the elimination of organic and inorganic containments. Moreover, it contains the different sources of water pollution and the dyes categorization and its hazards which threats the health of human, plants and animals as it is mutagenic, carcinogenic and cause other critical diseases. Furthermore, it contain the majority of applied methods in water treatment specially the different mechanisms of adsorption of organic and in organic pollutants as the adsorption process is the most promising method in water treatment because it’s easy, low cost and ecofriendly Chapter Two explores the experimental part concerning this work. It contains the chemical and solutions used in the experimental stage. It also contains the synthesis methods of nanobiosorbents and the various applied instrumentations in characterization of nanobiosorbents as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Scan electron microscope (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and surface area analysis (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller). Furthermore, it contains the applied equations in data analysis and the various tested factors for studying the adsorption process as pH, adsorbent mass, contact time, initial dye concentration, interfering salts and temperature.
