Abstract

The present study was conducted to evaluate the clinical performance of ceramic laminate veneers of two materials named: IPS e.max CAD and Lava UltimateTMCAD/CAM. Twenty-eight ceramic laminate veneers were fabricated to clinically restore maxillary teeth in the esthetic zone. According to the material of fabrication, the veneers were divided into two equal groups: 2group A3 (control group) IPS e.max CAD laminate veneers and 2group B3 (intervention group) Lava Ultimate laminate veneers. All teeth received a standardized preparation design with a butt joint and a chamfer finish line.Veneers were milled using the CEREC CAD/CAM milling machine, and finished following the manufacturer{u2019}s instruction for each type of ceramic. The cementation of veneers was carried out to etched enamel surfaces following a total etch adhesive protocol. The ceramic veneer restorations were clinically examined bimonthly for marginal adaptation, retention, fracture, marginal discoloration, and patient satisfaction according to the modified United States of Public Health Service (USPHS) criteria over a 12-month follow up period
