Abstract
Based on weekly sampling, the present short-term study set out over one year cycle in the Eastern Harbour represents an extensive trial to provide new data that might be sufficient rather than monthly sampling or even with a bi-weekly sampling strategy, to fulfill the dearth of information on phytoplankton assemblages and production in the harbour in order to understand the function of its ecosystem.
