Abstract

Background: Borderline Amniotic Fluid Index may be associated with adverse fetal and neonatal outcomes, as it has the potential to progress to oligohydraminos.
Aim of the work: The aim of the work is to evaluate adverse perinatal outcomes in uncomplicated pregnancies with isolated borderline Amniotic Fluid Index.
Patients and Methods: The current study was carried out at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital on (260) pregnant women divided into two groups study group and control group with term singleton pregnancy, from october 2017 to april 2018.
Results: This study showed that there is no statistical diferrence between the two groups in perinatal outcome.
Conclusion: Borderline AFI is not assosciated with adverse perinatal outcome.
Recommendations: Borderline Amniotic Fluid Index is not assosciated with adverse perinatal outcome. More populations with medical disorders should be investigated for more global evaluation
