Abstract Conflict is aninternal or external discard that result from differences in ideas, values, or feeling between two or more people (Bessile L, 2011). The frequency of interpersonal conflict among staff nurses at work linked to decrease job satisfaction, lower organizational commitment, increase counterproductive work behavior, and then absenteeism, turnover and none productive work. (Nabilye. Et al., 2011). The present study was carried out toassess the effect of interpersonal conflict on team effectiveness and job satisfaction amongstaffnurses. The study conducted in all inpatient unitsin general hospitalsin Ismailia city. The sample included all nurses (no=200) were working in the above mentioned setting. Three toolswere used for data collection interpersonal conflict scale, job satisfaction scale and team effectiveness scale. The study has generated the following findings: -Most of parƟcipants 56.5%age had ranging between 20to less than 30years old. 49.5%of theparticipants had a nursing school diploma, attend training courses and more married(56.5%, 53.5% respectively). Regarding educational qualification more than half of the participants (52.5%) had nursing diploma and had less than 5 years of experiences in nursing (40.5%) and 19%of participants workedin I.C.U.
