Abstract

This study was conducted to establish three-dimensional soft tissue normative data for Egyptian adolescents having balanced faces with near to normal occlusion and to determine the presence of any sex difference. This study was performed on 60 Egyptian adolescent subjects divided into 30 males and 30 females aged 11-15 years having balanced facial proportions with Angle Class I molar & canine relationship. The sample was collected at the out-patient clinic, Department of pedodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt where subjects with facial anomalies or facial asymmetry were excluded. Subjects were scanned using Planmeca ProMax 3D ProFace unit. The subject`s head was oriented before imaging in the natural head position.Threedimensional soft tissue assessment was performed using 3D facial photogrammetry by Exo CAD Matera 2019 software where 22 soft tissue facial landmarks were identified in the frontal and lateral views
