Abstract

Objectives: The aim of the study is to investigate whether changing maternal position from left lateral to supine position in pregnant women between 36 and 40 weeks gestation, can affect umbilical and cerebral blood flow indices in cases with non severe and severe preeclampsia. Methods: This study was a cross sectional study carried out at Kasr Alainy hospital Cairo university in Obstetrics and gynecology hospital between September 2019 and March 2020 on one hundred pregnant women with singleton pregnancy between 36 and 40 weeks of gestation who attended the outpatient clinic or Emergency Unit and were divided into two groups, group A included 50women with non severe preeclampsia and group B included 50 women with severe preeclampsia. The local medical ethics committee approved the study and written informed consent was obtained from every patient involved in the study. All indices were measured in the left lateral position then in the supine position at 5 and at 10 minutes. and results were compared in the same group for proper correlation
