Abstract SU(3) Polyakov linear sigma model (PLSM) is analysed for wide range of temperatures (T) and quark chemical potentials (oq), in characterizing the quark-hadron phase structure, the pseudo-critical temperatures, the subtracted condensates, the thermodynamic observables, the second- and high-order moments of various conserved charges and depicting the QCD phase diagram. The PLSM was pointed out that the asymmetry between u- and d-quark affects the phase structure of the QCD matter, which are particularly helpful in characterizing the thermodynamic properties of the QCD phase structure. We compare results from the PLSM in optimized perturbation theory (OPT) with the mean-field approximation (MFA).The excellent agreement obtained strengthens the reliability of fixing the PLSM parameters and therefore supports further predictions even beyond the scope of the lattice QCD numerical applicability.
