Abstract Non Hodgkin{u2019}s Lymphomas (NHLs) are heterogeneous group of malignancies of lymphoid cells. Different NHL histological subtypes have different incidence patterns and different underlying etiology , Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma was the commonest histological subtype constituting 92.7% of all NHLs Identification of prognostic factors that are inexpensive, widely available, and easily interpreted by clinicians engaged in the care of patients with DLBCL is needed. The peripheral blood monocytes suppressed host immunity by inhibiting the recall response and proliferative ability of interferon-c, and impairing the differentiation ability of dendritic cells. Lymphocytes also act as mediators of antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity and may be why lymphopenia is an adverse prognostic feature for indolent and aggressive lymphomas, particularly DLBCL. The study aims to investigate the relationship of peripheral absoiute lymphocytic count, absolute monocytic count and lymphocyte to monocyte ratio in relation to clinco-pathological characteristics and treatment response |
