Abstract

This study aimed at evaluating the teaching performance of the writing skills among preparatory school EFL teachers in light of professionalism.The participants were 100 EFL teachers chosen from El Mehalla El Kobra preparatory school during the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year.The instruments of the study included a questionnaire and an observation checklist for evaluating the teaching performance of the writing skills among preparatory school EFL teachers in light of professionalism.The results of the questionnaire revealed that 100 EFL teachers apply the criteria of professionalism when they teach writing skills , whereas the results of the observation checklist revealed that 30 EFL teachers do not apply the criteria of professionalism when teaching writing skills at the prep stage
