Abstract
Cancer is a major global health problem, and has a significant effect on life expectancy. The incidence of cancer and cancer-related death is increasing day by day. Liver cancer is the sixth most common form of cancer among all types, and is the third leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Liver cancer is an aggressive tumor that often occurs alongside chronic liver disease and cirrhosis, while hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) – a type of primary liver cancer – accounts for almost 75% of all liver cancers.
