Abstract Over the past few years, divorce rate unprecedently increased across the Arab World, and Egypt specifically. Lately, controversy was raised about the influence of women-oriented programs and media in general over social mechanisms within which women function. In fact, media is believed to be one of the social components formulating culture, traditions, values, and norms that construct social structures and hierarchies distributing social powers, affecting how divorced women function. This study used mixed methodological approach in an attempt to figure out media{u2019}s influence alongside other factors introduced by Orbe’scocultural framework over divorced women choices of communication behavioral patterns, intervened by influencing their perceived internalized stigma alongside other factors such as their self-esteem and demographics |
