Abstract
The early and accurate determination of burn injuries{u2019} depth is very challenging, even for experienced surgeons..Early determination of burn depth is of paramount importance to determine the need for tangential excision as well as commencement of fluid resuscitation .This estimation is a clinical one requiring experience.There are no hematological tests that can identify or detect the depth of burns.In this regard, an objective and widely available test can be a very helpful diagnostic tool for assessment of burn injuries depth.We evaluated in this study the role of plasma free hemoglobin aiming to correlate the plasma free hemoglobin level with the depth of burn
