المستخلص

The study aimed to prepare a proposed vision for activating the role of secondary education in strengthening community cohesion among its students in light of the Egyptian Constitution, due to the importance of the general secondary education stage in shaping the personality of students especially teenagers and it is also the most important stage of growth in shaping the personality of the Egyptian citizen.
To achieve this aim, the researcher prepared a questionnaire that included three axes to measure the basic dimensions of community cohesion, which are:
1. Identifying the status quo of community cohesion dimensions (Belonging, social integration, participation, accepting the other, & legitimacy)
2. Identifying the role of general secondary education in strengthening community cohesion among its students.
3. Identifying the obstacles of general secondary education in strengthening community cohesion.
The study revealed the following results:
1. There is a significant weakness in achieving some dimensions of community cohesion for general secondary education students.
2. There is a significant weakness in the role of secondary education that plays in strengthening community cohesion due to some obstacles.
Proposed Vision:
In light of the study results, the researcher developed a proposed vision to activate the following in order to strengthen community cohesion:
1. The role of general secondary education.
2. The role of both curricula and student activities.
3. The role of teacher, social worker, psychologist, and school administration staff.
