Abstract Pre-eclampsia (PE) is a major cause of maternal and fetal or neonatal mortality and morbidity. It is primarily defined by the occurrence of new-onset hypertension plus new-onset proteinuria. However, some women present with hypertension and multi-systemic signs usually indicative of disease severity in the absence of proteinuria. The changes in the values of hematological parameters including, neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(NLR), platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), platelet distribution width (PDW), red cell distribution width (RDW), mean platelet volume (MPV), and plateletcrit (PCT) are known as systemic inflammatory response markers. Although these markers have been investigated in patients with PE at previous studies, the results were conflicting. |
