This study deals with the intellectual life in Egypt and its impact on the national movement from 1863-1919AD , as that period witnessed a development in the intellectual life that greatly affected the Egyptian national movement , he sought to spread western civilization and principles , so the intellectual renaissance development and aclass of Egyptian intellectual national movement, the renaissance, the literary contributions made by translators and national thinkers, the establishment of theaters and the presentational of national novels to them , and the development of singing with the emergence of pioneers who raised its status through interest in political and national issues, in addition to establishing socientific and political societies and political societies , addressing the issue of women liberation , and establishing and developing news papers of all kinds , this intellectual renaissance affected the growth of national sentiment among Egyptians , which led to igniting the Egyptian national movement . The study was divided into an introduction , seven chapters and a conclusion , then a list of sources and references. The introduction included a definition of the importance of the subject and the approach followed , with a study of the most important sources and references relied upon . The first chapter included the emergence of public schools , high schools, the establishment of the national University , and then the scientific of schools, the national University , and scientific missions participated in the Egyptian national movement through their participation in the face of foreign interference and their opposition to tyrannical rule. The second chapter dealt with the development of the efforts to reform AL-Azhar , and the national role played by AL-Azhar turned into a national fortress where its sheikhs and students provided support for all Egyptian revolutions throughout history . The third chapter contained the most prominent Coptic thinkers by presenting the intellectual and patriotic impact they made , as churches became a platform for revolutionaries and the seat of their meetings during the Egyptian revolutions. As for the fourth chapter , it included the most prominent translators and thinkers who influenced the development of the national movement , then the writing and translators of Egtptian thinkers contributed to spreading national awareness and spreading the values of freedom and belonging to the homeland , then the emergence of theater in Egypt and its national speeches and politicians , and then the emergence of the issues of socity and its pain , which expressed the felelings and anger of the people . In the fifth chapter , the scientific societies , which were among the most important intellectual institutions in that period , were mentioned , in addition to the political societies founded by patriotic intellectuals , which played a role in sprading national awareness through the armed struggle carried out by their membrs against the foreign occupation authorities. In the sixth chapter , the issue of women liberation was addressed through the efforts of the pioneers of the intellectual movement in its liberation , then the participation of women in the Egyptian national movement and their accession to the political field. The seventh chapter dealt with independent newspapers , partisan newspapers, and Arab newspapers that were guiding Egyptians to resist the occupiers and the absolute regime , as they had the greatest impact in reviving the national spirit and its development through what they published of daily lessons and incidents . The study ended with a conclusion , in which the findings of the study were recorded in relation to the intellectual life in Egypt and its impact on the national movement . Thus the aim of this study was to clarify the impact of science and thought on the growth of national awareness among Egyptians and the emergence of an enlightened social class that led the national movement .
