Abstract Over the past years, organizations focused on achieving competitive advantage through the integration of all practices in the organization. Using the value chain practices is one of the modern approaches that help the organization to improve its competitive advantage through improving marketing practices(4ps), and production practices (product’s features). The problem of this study was summarized as follows: “There is instability or ineffectiveness of food industry organizations’ competitive advantage” which can be traced back to the lack of awareness of the importance of value chain practices or the inability to use value chain activities. Thus, using the value chain practices in these organizations can solve this problem and fulfill the goal of competitive advantage for these Egyptian organizations. The main objectives of this study were studying the relationship between marketing practices and production practices as the selected practices of the value chain and achieving competitive advantage for organizations. Finding, the type and strength of the relationship between the value chain practices and organizations’ competitive advantages. Formulate a program including policies and activities to create a value chain system to manage Egyptian food industry organizations subsector. |
